8 Summer '26 Salesforce Features You May Have Missed
Updated: 3 hours ago

Salesforce's Summer '26 release moved the Agentic Enterprise from vision to everyday reality, putting AI directly into the tools your team already uses while tightening security and giving admins more visibility into their orgs. With Winter '27 now rolling out, it's a good moment to make sure you haven't left anything valuable switched off.
At Mavello, we went through the release and picked the features we think deliver the most value. For each one, we cover two things: what the feature does, and who benefits most.
1. Agentforce Coworker

What it is: Agentforce Coworker is an AI teammate built into the Salesforce search bar. Ask a question in plain language and it answers using your CRM data, Slack conversations, and data connected through Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud). It can also take action, not just look things up. Coworker works inside Lightning, Slack, Microsoft Teams, ChatGPT, and the Salesforce mobile app, and it respects your existing permissions and data classification controls, so users only see what they're already allowed to see.
Who benefits: Any team that spends time hunting across tabs for answers. Service teams can pull up case history and open work orders in seconds, field service dispatchers can check a technician's schedule and job status without leaving the conversation, and nonprofit staff can get a donor or program participant's full history before a call.
Good to know: Available in Enterprise, Unlimited, and Agentforce 1 editions. Coworker is only as good as the data it can reach, so a data cleanup before rollout pays off quickly.
2. Faster Email Sends

What it is: Sending promotional, transactional, or relationship emails to your contacts and leads now takes fewer steps. You can build and send a message without clicking through extra pages or losing your progress, and Salesforce has addressed the delays and failed sends some users ran into before.
Who benefits: Small and mid-sized organizations using Starter Suite, Pro Suite, or Marketing Cloud Growth and Advanced, especially nonprofits sending donor updates and event invitations, and service businesses sending appointment reminders.

3. Advisements (Beta)
What it is: Advisements analyzes your org's configuration and usage patterns and gives you specific recommendations to fix health and stability risks before they turn into incidents.
Who benefits: Organizations with complex or older orgs, especially those that have built up years of automation and customization. It's a useful early warning system for admins who are stretched thin.
Good to know: Available in Enterprise, Performance, and Unlimited editions with a Signature Success plan. The feature is in beta, so adoption is optional.
4. Digital Wallet

What it is: Digital Wallet gives you one place to monitor Salesforce credit and license consumption across your entire Salesforce portfolio, so you can see where usage and spend are going.
Who benefits: Any organization using consumption-based features like Agentforce or Data 360, and finance or operations leaders who need to forecast and control Salesforce costs. For budget-conscious nonprofits, it's an easy way to avoid surprise overages.
Good to know: Available in Enterprise and Unlimited editions.
5. On-Demand Backups

What it is: In addition to scheduled backups, you can now run backups on demand. That means you can capture a snapshot right before a major data load, migration, or configuration change instead of waiting for the next scheduled run, which makes recovery faster and more reliable if something goes wrong.
Who benefits: Every organization, but especially those in regulated industries like healthcare, where losing records isn't just inconvenient. It's also valuable for any team preparing a large data migration or cleanup.
6. Passkeys and Security Keys

What it is: Users can now sign in with passkeys and security keys, enabling passwordless login and phishing-resistant multi-factor authentication. From their personal settings, users can view saved passkeys and security keys, add new ones, and remove ones they no longer use.
Who benefits: Every organization, and especially those handling sensitive data like patient information or donor financial details. Passkeys are faster for users and much harder for attackers to phish than passwords.
7. The New Field Service Scheduling Console

What it is: In Agentforce Field Service and Operations (formerly Salesforce Field Service), the new Scheduling Console replaces the Classic Dispatch Console. It brings the Gantt chart, a live map, and Agentforce scheduling recommendations together on a single screen, so dispatchers no longer have to switch between views. Drag-and-drop scheduling is smoother, appointments update in real time, and the map now stays in sync across multiple tabs and can be added to Experience Cloud sites.
Who benefits: Dispatchers and service managers at any organization running field crews, from home services and maintenance companies to healthcare organizations with mobile or in-home care teams. Faster scheduling means fewer missed windows and more jobs completed per day.
Good to know: If your team still uses the Classic Dispatch Console, plan the move now. Map out your dispatchers' daily workflow, test the new console in a sandbox, and train dispatchers before switching over.
8. Tip: Pair the Console with Group Nearby Appointments
What it is: Group Nearby Appointments is a scheduling policy objective that clusters work geographically. Instead of sending several technicians into the same neighborhood on the same day, it assigns one technician to own and complete all the appointments in a local cluster before moving on, which cuts overlapping routes and wasted drive time.
Who benefits: High-volume, high-density service models, like utilities, cable and internet providers, and routine maintenance or irrigation companies, especially where technicians start from a shared home base and work tight service areas.
Good to know: This objective works best in balance. Weigh it against other objectives like Minimize Travel and ASAP in your scheduling policy, since giving it too much weight can over-constrain the schedule and push out urgent jobs.
